Hello and welcome,
My name is Randi Nowicki Tomlinson and I am a Registered Massage Therapist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I graduated from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies in 2012 and have been a practicing member of the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba since then.
I have received additional training in aromatherapy and hot stone massage, sports massage, reflexology, neuroproprioceptive taping and perinatal massage.
Currently I offer massage therapy including prenatal, postpartum, infant and hot stone massage at Wolseley Wellness Center with appointments available afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Balance is essential to me, both in life and in my practice. I believe that physical health and mental wellness go hand in hand, and I aim to treat both using a variety of techniques tailored to my clients and their unique needs.
Over the years, I developed a passion for supporting growing families and in 2016 I started my training with the International Association of Infant Massage, but moved it to the back burner for a short time.
In July 2018, my own daughter was born preterm and spent the first two weeks of her life in Winnipeg’s Health Sciences Center. My personal experience with pregnancy and our time in the NICU reignited my desire to support and empower families during one of their most vulnerable stages of life.
Attending a weekly group for new parents showed me how important it was to build a community of support, especially in the early stages of parenthood. Within a few months I completed my training and officially became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor, excited to share the benefits of massage but also determined to provide the same welcoming environment where parents could connect with one another.
In my class I aim to share not only the physical benefits of infant massage, but also the mental and emotional impacts it can have on parents and families. If you are interested in attending, group classes resume January 15th, 2023 and registration is now open.
Before ever considering massage therapy, I wanted to be an artist. In addition to drawing, photography and scrapbooking I decided one day in 2014 that I would teach myself to crochet. What started as a small hobby grew into another lifelong passion. I enjoy making blankets, hats and toys for friends and family, and often sell some items on the side – if you’re looking for some cute baby items, feel free to email me at randinowicki@hotmail.ca.
